CFK salutes supporters, recalls 'national unity'

“Young people have been the real keepers of this Government,” stated Fernández de Kirchner as the sun set on the day of her reappointment as President of the Nation. The head of state thanked young people “for their continued support” today and in recent times.
The festivities continued in Plaza de Mayo, with many national musicians taking to the stage set up outside the Government House. Supporters and followers celebrated, under the colourful light show displayed upon the Casa Rosada.
The grand celebration which was taking place in Plaza de Mayo in aide of the reappointment of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was similar to that of 2007, with the President present. The head of state sang the National Anthem alongside musician Charly Garcia, danced and gave a speech affirming that “there is no difference between young people and workers.”
The President arrived earlier to the Government House and was received by the song “Avanti morocha” sung by its writer, Iván Noble from the Plaza de Mayo.
The former singer of the Caballeros de la Quema was in charge of opening the event labelled “Popular Patriotic Party” singing for the President.
Fernández de Kirchner took to the microphone after dancing with her supporters, and stated that “there is no difference” between young people and workers: “everyone is fighting for a more just and equal country.”
The festival also included performances by artists such as Víctor Heredia, Ignacio copan, Gustavo Santaolalla, Los Alonsitos, Mavi Díaz y los Folkies, Nonpalidece, Teresa Parodi, Ráfaga, Super Ratones, Siempre Salta, Chango Spasiuk and Choque Urbano, amongst others.
