Buenos Aires celebrates Poland.

This festival was organized by the Union of Poles in Argentina and the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Poland was presented in the traditional Avenida de Mayo. It was represented by generations of Polish immigrants who chose Argentina as adoptive country. There were delegations and stands of communities of Misiones, Cordoba, Rosario, Polish Scouts of Nasz Balet, ACAP, Library Domeyko, PMS, Ognisko Polskie, MPH Quilmes, Pom and Martin Coronado, Polish companies and / or descendants of Poles as "FM Perfumes", "Krol", "Amanda" and others. It was an extraordinary event that took place in the historical heart of Buenos Aires city. The traditional street was dressed in white and red, colorful costumes, ribbons and flowers.

The air exploded with joyous music, nostalgic songs and a distinctive aroma reminiscent of grandma's house on weekends when the whole family gathered around the table to taste the traditional "pierogi", "Bigos", "golabki" ... On the street, agile steps danced "polkas", "oberek", "Kujawiak" "Krakowiak", "Polonez", and handed out everywhere smiles and joy to hundreds and hundreds of bystanders, who between surprised and excited toured the various stands. Poland Football Club shared spaces with "KPH" of POM and the "Argentinian Polish Cultural Association (ACAP) .Brochures were distributed, along with club shirts and stickers.  Videos of tours in Poland along with tournaments that were held in Argentina were projected.

Various Polish folk groups (Nasz Balet, Krakus and others), who came from across the country, played nonstop from 11 until 15 Hs.  Two scenarios were provided by the government of the City and located at the ends of the two blocks that were occupied.
This event served to begin the consolidation and the true union and integration of all Poles in Argentina: associations, organizations, companies and individuals, even those people that could not attend for reasons of distance, were present through letters, e-mail or telegrams.
